Cabarete

The best wind seasons in Cabarete are winter (late December–April) and summer (June–mid-September). Winter brings bigger waves; summer is hot with consistent wind from the thermal effect and trade winds.

If you visit during the off-season (May, October, November), stay as long as possible to increase your chances of windy days. Have a backup plan like surfing at Encuentro, learning Spanish and learning the culture.
